hack: mapping network drives in win98

Problem: The wifi connection on the Pages to Prisoners notebook computer doesn't come up until after login. This caused error messages about the mapped network drives that confused users and often caused them not to become mapped.

Solution: A batch file that checks for a network connection and doesn't try to map the drives until the connection is live.

anti-gay protesters ...

are outside The Inner Chef, a cooking supply store that makes no attempts to downplay the sexual orientation of its owner, David Wade. I can't see down the street to witness the fracas, but Steven called and told me that Bobb, who works there, said it was pretty intimidating. Fuckers. This comes after a recent burning of the store's gay pride flag.

txtgo

Every month, I put the events from the Let's Go!! calendar on the web using the Drupal event module. This weekend, I had a blip conversation with Gina where we talked about how it would be cool to get the events on a mobile phone. Hyper-caffeinated and with nothing to do for the rest of the night, I went to the computer lab and coded up that very functionality. One can send an SMS e-mail from one's mobile phone to txtgo@terrorware.com and get text messages back containing information about that days events. [txtgo source code]
